Switzerland provides active support of the work of an international group of experts that are preparing a handbook on aerial warfare and the deployment of missiles (to be published in autumn 2009).

On 5 December 2008, Switzerland launched in Geneva an “Agenda for Human Rights” authored by a panel of eminent persons. Among the eight specific areas identified for further study and research by the panel are human dignity, prevention, and detention.
