Dr. Mina Rauschenbach

Research Fellow

Mina Rauschenbach is as a Research Fellow at the Academy. She is working on an interdisciplinary research project about the perspective of the accused of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Her main research areas concern justice perceptions and social representations, intergroup processes in international conflicts and attributions of responsibility in the legal context, as well as the issues of victims and their experience of justice and restorative justice.

Mina Rauschenbach holds a Ph. D in Social Sciences from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lausanne, as well as a Masters (MsC) Degree in Forensic Psychology from the Glasgow Caledonian University and a Masters Degree (DEAAPS) in Social Psychology from the University of Geneva. Her doctoral thesis concerned the role of legal and moral dimensions in the attribution of criminal responsibility for fatal road traffic offenses. She worked previously on an interdisciplinary research on the influence of emotions on the increasing importance given to the victim in the legal system and the social scene. She was also a teaching assistant for the Criminology course at the Faculty of law of the University of Geneva. Finally, she worked on a research on the social representation of discrimination in the framework of the European Court for Human Rights judgments concerning this issue.
