The Rule of Law in Armed Conflicts Project is designed to generate an online global database on the implementation of international law in situations of armed conflict. The Academy will put on-line a country-by-country consideration of the applicable international law.

This includes an examination of the implementation of legal obligations during peacetime, during the conflict, following the end of hostilities, and for the post-conflict peacebuilding phase.rulac

It is carried out by Dr. Annyssa Bellal, Dr. Stuart Maslen and Gilles Giacca under the supervision of Professors Andrew Clapham, Louise Doswald-Beck and Vincent Chetail. The project is supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Sweden.
